CROSS COUNTRY COMPETITION

Not really sure how to start this entry so I guess I’ll just write down the details.

Date : 13th June 2009
Time : 0800H - 1200H
Venue : UPNM , RMC (Royal Military College) & The Hills Surrounding Them
Activity : Inter Company & Intake Cross Country Competition

Well,this competition is organised by my intake (2008) as an activity to release stress & for recreation purposes . Every cadet in UPNM took part in this event . The whole stretch was approximately 6km long and mark my words , it ain’t a walk in the park . We started off at the field and ran up the hills , crossed the jungle and finally emerged through RMC and ran back to the field which acts as a starting and ending point . To complicate things , it rained very heavily the night before . So the whole stretch is slippery and yeah , I fell down . Haha..Not because it’s slippery , but because i tripped on a tree root . And it happened when I was running down the hill . Imagine me rolling . Haha..Luckily the injuries aren’t serious . Just a small cut on the right elbow and some difficulties in moving my left palm . But it’s doin just fine now . Hehe..Anyway I reached the checkpoint and clocked in at 39 mins 45 secs . Well , not too bad i guess . My team’s average time is 35 point sumthg . And I’m pround to say that my team emerged as champion among the companies of my intake and my intake is the champion among other intakes . So guess what ? My team is the champion of champions . Haha..I know it’s quite lame but what the heck ..Haha..Didn’t manage to take any photos that day but here’s a photo I grabbed frm someone..

END OF SEMESTER..

Woohoo..2nd semester is over.Foundation year is completed..Haha..Think i sound very happy?On cloud nine?Think again..With the end of academic semester,comes the beginning of military semester.Boring,tiring and mundane routine for the next 2 months..argh..

4 Ah Peks of Intake 2008..

This photo was taken last year when we are still living in the same block.Now we are divided into our respective batalions - Eugene( far right ) in Tuah,Ling( far left ) in Lekir,and Me and Zach in Kasturi..But what I’m trying to show here is that’s what we will wear during our morning war exercises..But all these things will only start once the degree year seniors finish their exams.Or so I thought..
The 2nd day after we finish our exams,we are informed that our training will start earlier than the seniors.2 weeks earlier!!I was like “WHAT!!!”..Damn..So yeah.It started today and this is basically what we will be doing everyday..

1430 - Marching(This is One Of The Worst Parts.Under Scorching Hot Sun for 2 Hours..)

Basically nothing much during this time.So yeah..Rest/Online/Watch Movie..Haha..This will go on for these 2 weeks.Then after our 1 week break,the timetable will be different.Will update then.Hehe..

Well,we used to wear that 4 marching but now since it has been ‘Abolished’,we are wearing our Number Three (the uniform in the first photo) with drill boots and a belt with a freaking huge buckle..Too bad I don’t have the photo.Hehe..

Well,it’s been a very long time since I have updated this thing.Just a short post as a good luck wish to everyone facing their finals especially my friends in matriculation colleges nationwide : Glenn,Hoe Siang,Alan,Kit Kei,Toh Mean,Ming Wei,Siew Mun..Just to name a few.And a special shoutout to my cousin sis Chan Yii who is taking Law in Inti College,Nilai.All The Best in your finals ya cousie.. =p
Talking bout finals,of course I can’t leave myself out can I?Haha..My finals is next week!!Damn..Hopefully I can make it through with good grades.Haha..Thats all for now folks.Will update my blog after my finals..Till then..

Holidays/Military Training over,on to studies..Well,im now in the second semester of my foundation year.Subjects are gonna b tougher and exams are gonna b harder.Sigh..Hope that I wont screw up.Haha..Gonna b takin 7 subjects:

We had this function with the 2004 seniors.Well,its 4 us to get to noe each other better.Its kinda fun.haha..Had some junk food n drinks.Hehe..Chit-chatted with the seniors.Listened to their experiences during studies and their single service training.Had a dose of true life experiences and humour.Haha..As usual,let the picture do the talking..

1 WEEK HOLIDAY..

Have a one week holiday coming up..15th Nov til 23rd Nov..Going back HOME!!!!!!haha..old friends,if ur in Sitiawan during that period of time please contact me.We’ll go yamcha or something.haha..Guess that’s all for now..

So Suey….

   Yesterday was one of the UNluckiest day in my life..I got up late in the morning.ALMOST late for physical training.Our morning is further complicated by 2 idiots who came late claiming that they are “locked in their room”..Now let me tell you the irony behind the story.We are supposed to fall in at the field at 0700 H..But when the two fellas never show up at 7.30,our troop leader (an officer : army captain) went to their rooms to check.And guess wat?He found no one in the room.Why?Those two idiots actually hid behind the building beside the field to escape the training.Ta Ma De..Pardon me 4 the usage of these words.But those fellas really piss me off.They are dumb enough to report to or troop leader at 8.05 and lied to him saying tat they are locked inside their room.Too bad.They chose the wrong day to lie.They are punished by doing extra training.Personally taken by our troop leader.They also got charged by him.Now you must be wondering “why am I so pissed off with them?”..Because those 2 fellas made the whole intake stand under the scorching sun til 10(well,the scorching sun part oni starts around 8 am.haha..).Anyway did I mention tat there is no electricity since morning?Damn..Cant even have a proper rest upon returning from training.
   Military class starts at 11.We are exposed to military law : “Akta Angkatan Tentera 1972″ and “Warta Negara”.The suey is still thr.Got punished by our troop leader juz because I went 2 the convenience store aka PERNAMA to get myself a drink..haiz..
   1300..Still no electricity.Haiz..Took a nap.Woke up sweating.Damn..
   Next we have Tae Kwon Do training.The sky looks dark.Everyone prayed tat it will rain.But guess wat?It oni rained an hour later,in the iddle of training.We ran back to our block.Totally drenched..haha..haiz..
   Then suddenly we are informed tat there’s room inspection at 9 pm..Its still early.Bout 5 or so.so ev1 took their time n fooled around;slept,played game etc.But our Officer in Charge decided to check the rooms at 7.30.He caught every1 unaware.Luckily he skipped my room.haha..I think tats the oni lucky thing that happened to me that day..
  Then comes roll call bla bla bla..then sleep.(finally!!)

Drenched in my Tae Kwon Do suit.The oni photo I managed 2 take through the whole ordeal.haha..
